A cross-channel hovercraft speeds from Dover to Calais in the early morning mist. 'The Princess Anne' (or 'Annie' as she was affectionately known) was one of two SRN4 Mk3's operated by Seaspeed (later Hoverspeed).

A personal tribute to the incredible Mountbatten Class SRN4 hovercraft and to Hoverlloyd, who operated four of this type between Ramsgate and Calais during the 1970s and 80s. This painting shows 'Swift' arriving at Pegwell Bay on typically overcast morning.
