Happy Days is a painting with a narrative that I hope provokes a number of different emotions - sympathy, sadness or even joy. It's a sharp contrast between the upbeat positivity and fun of the seaside, versus the reality of a wet, out of season day.

"HERE COMES THE RAIN"
Here Comes the Rain shows a dramatic, threatening sky over a dark ocean just before the next downpour. I wanted to capture the ever-changing moods of the British coast and to scale the scene using the groyne in the foreground. The soft reflections in the sand add a softer and more gentle element in contrast to the big sky above.

The first of a series depicting the majestic and sometimes iconic lighthouses that circle the British coast. Beachy Head lies at the foot of Europe's highest chalk cliff, and is one of the most visible landmarks to seafarers in the English Channel.

The second of the British lighthouse series, Flamborough Head in Yorkshire is an isolated headland that boast two lighthouse towers - this one being the most recent constructed in 1806.
